What is the Dog Trick Academy?
How often have you seen a dog on TV or in the movies fetch his owner's
slippers or grab a cold drink from the refrigerator and wonder, "How
did someone teach the dog to do that?" Did you know that it really
isn't difficult to teach your own dog to do the same?
Although many dog owners think there is some magic involved in teaching
a dog to perform tricks, what you will discover is that it really isn't
magic at all. In fact, not only can anyone teach their dog tricks, most
are as easy to do as training your dog to sit.
Training Methods
Did you know that tricks can easily be taught using positive training
methods? This means that the dogs absolutely love their training
sessions, and they respond very well because they are always having fun
and receiving lots of attention from their owner.
There are several different training techniques available to train
tricks: Clicker Training, Luring, Shaping and Capturing. All of them
involve rewarding the dog for performing a trick with praise, toys and
tasty treats. You can learn them all for free in our dog training
classroom.
Training Tricks
We all live busy lives and have demanding schedules. But the reality is
that it only takes five to ten minutes a day to train tricks. Even the
most complicated of tricks can be taught in a matter of days.
Of course, it takes some dedication in the beginning to learn the
proper training techniques. But once they are learned (and they really
aren't that difficult to learn), you can practically train your dog to
do any trick you want, regardless of breed, size and age.
Here is a short list of tricks our members have successfully trained:
* Shake Paw, High Five, High Ten
* Roll Over, Crawl, Chase the Tail
* Fetch: Ball, Newspaper, Slippers, Soda
* Jump: Through Arms, Through Hoops, Over Obstacles
... And many others!

Find other ZORGIUM pages using your favorite search engine:
Enter your search keyword(s) and the keyword "zorgium" into the search input field of
http://bing.com,
http://yahoo.com or
http://google.com.
Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.
ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.
